Our History with the Cayman Islands
Our love story begins here. I quit my job as a TV Reporter in Houston in 1987 to pursue my dive dreams in Grand Cayman and never looked back. James arrived in Grand Cayman a few months later with a band from Nashville that had landed a year-long contract with the only nightclub on the island. I was a groupie who became a girlfriend. When the band left to go back to Nashville, James stayed and was hired by the Hyatt Regency Grand Cayman as the Artist-in-Residence. Here he honed his skills as a performer writing and singing songs about island life and the Caribbean culture.
Livin' the Dream in Cayman
We WERE living the dream every day, and we never took it for granted. We were part of a close-knit Hyatt family of employees, many of whom stay in touch from far corners of the world. James performed afternoons. James met people from all over the world at the Hyatt, including Jimmy Buffett. Because of its high repeat visitors, he watched kids grow up year after year. He still stays in touch with many of the guests he entertained there.
Raising Babies on an island
We began our life together in Grand Cayman - falling in love and getting married on the island made it home to us in every way. Raising our twin babies there was a wonderful experience. We were part of an amazing expat community, and many of us were raising families. We enjoyed playdates on Seven Mile Beach, one of the most beautiful beaches anywhere. Family dinners at someone's house, get-togethers at Rum Point, and diving with friends. James and I always hosted a Thanksgiving Day feast for friends who couldn't be home for the holiday. We had friends from all over the world and I loved hearing various accents in the Cayman community.

Group Fun on the island
We always plan a fun itinerary for our Cayman groups, and our experience and knowledge of the island really helps us set up a cool itinerary. Not only activities during the day, but also shows at night. We also believe in giving you plenty of time on your own to explore Cayman at your own pace - the island is very safe and easy to get around. I should have an itinerary and registration fee before too long. Hope you can join us!

SUNNY JIM & LEFTY LUCY
We've invited our friends Nick and Lucy DiBlasio (Lefty Lucy) to join us on this trip back to the Cayman Islands. James first me them more than 20 years ago when they came to Grand Cayman on their honeymoon. They are now our neighbors in Osprey and the tree of them perform together for special events. We will require a Registration Fee for concerts and group events, and the cost will depend on what we planed and how many attendees we have.
GRAND CAYMAN MARRIOTT RESORT
Our host hotel is the Grand Cayman Marriott Resort on Seven Mile Beach. This photo doesn't show a beach, but the hotel is currently doing a beach restoration project that should give us plenty of beach when we arrive in November 2027. This is a great hotel and we've used them for previous groups.
