Train Depot Songwriter Series

Since 2006 Sunny Jim has hosted songwriter shows  in the Freight Room of the historic Venice Train Depot in Venice, FL. The depot  is a former Seaboard Air Line Railroad station where soldiers left to fight in the war. This is also where the Ringling Circus arrived in town for its winter home. 

The Freight Room is perfect for acoustic shows with its cool brick walls, wood floors and large windows. Songwriters swap songs and tell the stories behind those songs. These showcases are well attended and space is limited so reservations must be made in advance. You can bring a small cooler with your own beverages. No food is allowed in the Freight Room, but some regular attendees tailgate in the parking lot before the shows.
