Thanks to the Atlanta Parrothead Club for inviting me to join the fun on it's 2024 Parrothead Cruise, Changes in Latitudes! I'm excited to set sail on the Norwegian Escape in March for 8 days and 7 nights, departing from Port Canaveral, Florida. We’ll visit Cozumel, Mexico; George Town, Grand Cayman; Ocho Rios, Jamaica; and Great Stirrup Cay, The Bahamas.
When Eric Erdman, Carrie Welling and I perform together, we always have an amazing time! Both are fantastic solo singer/songwriters, but wait til you see them perform together! They are super nice people too, so you will enjoy hanging out with them during the cruise.
And SO happy to be sailing with my old pals Matt Hall and Quincy Yeates performing as Rum Monday.
I met these two artists in the early days of my repatriation back to the States after living in the Cayman Islands for more than a decade. We met in Key West during one of the early Meeting of the Minds - I think it was 1999. Matt also joined us for a fan trip to Jamaica, Ocho Rios in fact. We'll be reminiscing about that trip, I'm sure. Of course Quincy is the master of the pan, a talented artist and great guy.
I'm looking forward to meeting Scotty Emerick too, I hear great things about him. I'm sure Parrothead nation will soon know more about this talented singer/songwriter that's been joining Jimmy on stage here and there.
I'm especially excited that Grand Cayman is one of our stops! My old island home is very dear to us, and we remain well connected with our friends there. I hope to share that with you too.
I think we are going to have a great time on this cruise!
